It saddens me to see anyone to have so much hate as is shown on this page, by both LDS and the non-LDS. Jesus said to turn the other cheek when one strikes you and to love your enemies, why is no one cultivating the spirit of Christ, who willingly let enemies kill Him? I am not angered by such follies on this page, only dissapointed to see more people-LDS or otherwise, but especially LDS- who are so far away from understanding and living by the true loving gospel of Christ.

The LDS on here are in need to be called to repentance moreso than the non-LDS do, for these LDS have been taught these principles and yet still do not live by it whereas the non-LDS may just be acting in ignorance. The latter is more easily repented of than the former. I Know the Church to be true, the members are far from being perfect, even myself, but the Church itself has perfect and sound doctrine. Some of these profane jokes have truth to them, most do not, but because some LDS may be the way that is portrayed in these crude jokes it does not prove the church wrong. This just shows the imperfections of Mormons, but of course no one is/was perfect save it be Christ Himself.

I wonder if you have considered why God sometimes allows us to experience human frailties in his leaders, such as Moses who needed a spokesman. I believe it's to help us relate more, but also because they ARE just people.

I think it's also a way to test our faith. Has he uttered any word of PROPHECY that was not clear? The mantle and calling of prophet doesnt make them perfect here on earth. My experience concerning the LDS religion is this. There has always been a winnowing out among the membership of the church and there probably always will be. In ancient times people would put some freshly thrashed wheat into into the center of a blanket. The leaves that covered the wheat intact. With someone on each side of the blanket they would throw it into the air. The agitation that took place in this process along with the wind would blow the leaves that had become detached from the wheat away and the kernels would fall safely back into the blanket. I am a Temple worker and whoever wrote this is insane---because the things I do in the Temple are sacred not secret and I feel Heavenly Father with me at all times, so before you start writing awful things know what you are talking about. It brings people/neighbors together in love, fellowship, and service. It teaches them to live by a very strict set of moral values.

The Mormon Church actually doesn't use tithing to help for humanitarian aid. The tithe is used to expand the work of the Lord and to expand His church. Fast offerings are collected each month, and are distributed to the needy and homeless in every area where this church has a building. As far as building anything in this economy, it is dang smart to build when the economy is down, because you can build a heck of a lot more for cheaper. Many comments on this site demonstrate exactly why we are having tornadoes, earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, droughts and disasters. I thought your site was awful and I didn't even look at all of it. What did the Mormons ever do to you? Your pic of the two women leaving church looked more like Minnenites or something. Some of the comments were just ridiculous. Yes they do the jello and some have lots of kids and those are funny, but there is something fundamentally wrong with you to be making fun of things that they place as special and important. Mormons are just like everyone else. Some don't do what they are taught is right and make bad choices, but most are just trying to be better people. I know alot of Mormon women who wouldn't be caught dead in denim, but it just so happens that it holds up well to taking care of lots of kids and who can fault that. There are people with varying degrees of education in all religions. Some of the smartest people I've known have been Mormon. They make that choice in their lives. It requires alot of hard work to be a Mormon and they wouldn't choose an easier path because it is true and they love their children(some can't have any just like other people in the world) and husband. Maybe you should use all this free time you evidently have, learning about that and how our enemy nations far surpass our birthrate, even with all those Mormons you hate dropping out babies left and right. If these are the things you are basing your knowledge and belief or non belief of the LDS Church on then you have really missed the boat. The only thing that really matters is our relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I, being a genealogist enjoyed very much seeing the tombstones that are pictured here. It is not a mark of ego, but a mark of reverence and love by those left behind.

In my own genealogy I am thrilled to find a big headstone because that usually means more genealogical information, maybe a date or family member buried there that I didn't know existed before, usually a child who died shortly after death and didn't make it to the census record. However, I am saddened by your feelings, and I don't quite understand where you are coming from.

The pictures you have taken all represent honest, hardworking men who weren't perfect, but did their very best to lead the church in the capacity they were able. We as members are often given jobs to do that we do not feel worthy of, but it is through prayer and inward growth that we are able to acheive them.

In my life so far, I have been able to glean the wisdom of many prophets and presidents of the church in my lifetime so far. From my early years I remember David O. McKay and on down to our prophet now, Thomas S. Monson. I have never known more spiritual and humble men then these, the Lord's servants on earth,and I feel peace when I think of where they are now with Heavenly Father and Jesus and someday, I will be able to talk to them and thank them in person.

I'm sorry you are so angry over them, I hope someday you will get over yourself. And as for me? I will answer with this simple poem or song:

I think people who talk about something they have not done research into, religious, political, scientific, etc... make themselves look very foolish. Nobody is forced to pay tithing. Keep things simple. Things like paying 10%, net or gross, etc. are all out there as a guideline. Individual circumstances should always be taken to account otherwise the gospel of Jesus Christ wouldnÕt reconcile back to the churches tithing principles.

If you don't believe me, then look at what is happening in the middle east, or even closer, in this country, and even the rest of the world. We have so many factions from one base idea, because people have so many versions and interpretations to suit their own belief system; in the end, harmony among them is lost, and everyone just wants to be left alone to believe what they want in the way they want. Yet ironically, every group believes their system to be the 'true church of God', and in this conviction embarks on missions to enlist a world of members. So, is this spirituality, is it religion, or is it an attempt at monopoly under a different name? I am sure whoever reads this who is devout to whatever faith they abide by, will by now already have fervent rebuttals to make, in attempts to justify their own faith(s), in a show to themselves and others that it is unshakable under such challenges. It is pathetic that we Americans live in the land of plenty and don't have a true gratitude for food. Life sustaining food.

Even if no WORLD disaster ever strikes that will turn you into believers, I would continue keeping a rotated food storage because it has saved me thousands in groceries in the last 10 years. I buy when things are on sale. I also was able to feed my family this summer when the disaster of no paycheck struck in our home.

I'm an American Indian (a Lamanite, one the "cursed" people) and I love the church, regardless of its past. In my opinion, all of the questionable doctrines of the church came to fruition under one prophet. I had a black bishop when I was younger, and he was one of the smartest, kindest men I ever knew. Alight, seminary teachers aren't perfect but they're only human!! It's not like the class is mandatory and the student's there have a chance during the school day to be in a spiritual environment.
