Brother David Oman McKay, thou art in thy youth and need instruction, therefore I say unto thee, be taught of thy parents the way of life and salvation, that at an early day you may be prepared for a responsible position, for the eye of the Lord is upon thee; He has a work for thee to do in which thou shalt see much of the world, assist in gathering scattered Israel and also to labor in the ministry. It shall be thy lot to sit in counsel with thy brethren and to fireside among the people and exhort the saints to faithfulness; therefore, again I say unto thee remember to honor thy parents and hold sacred their counsel, and prepare thyself for events to come, and thou shalt go forth wheresoever thou art sent by the Priesthood, like a roaring lion in the forest, none to stay thee, for the power of God shall rest upon thee, and give thee strength, wisdom and understanding so long as thou art in the discharge of thy duty, and thou shalt confound the wisdom of the wicked and set at naught the counsels of the unjust. Study the laws of nature and follow the promptings of the still small voice of the comforter, and thou shalt be healthy and strong in body and mind, and thy days and years shall be many, and in due time thou shalt have a companion who shall be a helpmeet unto thee; thy posterity shall be numerous, and bear thy name in honorable remembrance from generation to generation; therefore, put thy trust in the Lord. Thou shalt also be mighty in healing the sick by the laying on of hands, for this shall be thy gift through prayer and faith, thou shalt also, if necessary, perform miracles in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ; thou art of Ephriam, and entitled to the blessings of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, with the gifts of the Priesthood. It shall be thy province, also, to feed many with both spiritual and temporal food; therefore, look forward to the future with a prayerful heart, and an inquiring mind, and all shall be well with thee both here and hereafter. This blessing I seal upon thee in the name of Jesus Christ, forth in the morning of the first resurrection a savior to thy kindred. Even so Amen.

A blessing by John Smith Patriarch upon the head of Joseph Fielding Smith born November 13th 1838 in Far West, Caldwell Co, Missouri.
Brother Joseph in the name of Jesus of Nazareth, I place my hands upon thy head, and confirm upon you all the blessings of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the blessings of the everlasting Priesthood which is after the order of the Only Begotten.
I seal upon you in fulness in due time, which will reveal unto all the hidden mysteries of the Redeemer's Kingdom. Thou art of the blood of Ephriam and no good things shall be witheld from you. You shall have horses and chariots and servants and handmaids that will delight to do thy business. Thou art one of the House of Ephriam, called to push the people together from the ends of the earth and from the isles afar off. At thy rebuke the elements shall be still. At thy rebuke all things shall obey thy voice. You shall baptize captains of vessels and many sailors. You shall lead thousands to Zion and no power shall stay thy hand.
The mantle of thy father shall be upon thee, you shall break fetters of iron and gates of brass, prison walls shall fall at they rebuke. Your name shall be had in honoralbe remembrance among the Smiths forever.
You shall have a companion that shall be suited to thy conditions, she will make you happy. your posterity shall be great. None shall excell them in Israel. They shall spread upon the mountains so numerous that they cannot be numbered for multitude. You shall live to take vengence on those that have slain your father. A Patriarchal Blessing upon the head of George Albert Smith, son of Sarah Marr and John Henry Smith, born April 4,1870 at Salt Lake City, S.L., Cou. U.T.
Mr. George Albert in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ I lay my hands upon your head and seal upon you a partriarchal blessing for thou art of the seed of Abraham of the house of Joseph and lineage of Ephriam. I seal upon thy head a father's blessing, for thou art a lawful hier to all the blessings of the holy priesthood, and inasmuch as thou wilt keep all the commandments of the Lord thou shalt attain to all the blessings of eternal lives, and the choice blessings of the heavens shall rest upon you and thou shalt be filled with wisdom of the heavens and the light of the Lord shall swell within you and every organ of you mind shall be filled with the inspiration of the Lord, for thou wast called an chosen of the Lord from before the foundation of the earth was laid to come forth in this dispensation to assist in building up the kingdom of God upon the earth, and thou shalt be enabled to bring many to a knowledge of the truth, for thy voice shall be as the voice of a trumpet in declaring the word of the Lord to the nobles of the earth, and many shall believe in thy words and embrace the gospel of the Son of God.
For thou shalt be filled with the mighty power of God, and shall be able to do many mighty works in their midst, and thou shalt have power over the elements and the wind and the waves of the sea shall obey thy voice, and no miracle shall be to great for thee to do when it shall be necessary for the salvation of man, for thou art called to do a great and mighty work in the great kingdoms of God. And thou shalt attain to all the blessings and sealing powers that shall be given in the holy temples of the Lord and thous shalt behold the Lord when he shall come in the clouds of heaven, and shall be enabled to do a great work upon the earth, both for the living and the dead, and shall assist in the redemption of thy fathers house, and thou shalt become a mighty prophet in the midst o the Sons of Zion, and the angels of the Lord shall administer unto you, and the choice blessings of the heavens shall rest upon you.
And thy posterity shall become great upon the earth, and the holy Melchisedek priesthood shall rest upon them throughout their generations and thy sons shall become mighty men upon before the Lord, filled with the wisdom of the heavens, and many of them shall become prophets and apostles and shall dwell in the midst of the Zion of the Lord as their psoterity shall become very great as they shall become kings and priests of the Most High.
And thy daughters shall become women of great renoun and shall become the mothers of righteous men before the Lord, and shall dwell among the sanctified of the Lord, and shall become a vast multitude dwelling in the midst of the Zion of the Lord and shall live and reign a thousand years upon the earth and thy generations there shall be no end.
And thou shalt be wrapt in the visions of the heavens and thou shalt be clothed with salvation as with a garment, for thou art destined to become a mighty man before the Lord, for thou shalt become a mighty apostle in the church and kingdom of God upon the earth, for none of thy father's family shall have more power with God than thou shalt have, for none shall excell thee, for thy reward shall be great in the heavens, for the blessings of thy father and of they grandfather shall rest upon thee and thou shalt become a man of mighty faith before the Lord, even like unto that of the brother of Jared, and thou shalt remain upon the earth until thou art satisfied with life, and shall be numbered with the Lord's annointed and shall become a king and a priest unto the Most High, for thou art of the pure blood of Jacob, and have a right to all the blessings of the house of Joseph and shall receive an everlasting inheritance when the Ancient of Days shall come , and thou shalt have power to come forth in the morning of the first resurrection and shall be numbered with the sanctified before the Lord.
And now I seal all of these blessings upon thy head, and seal thee up unto all the powers of exaltation of thrones and dominions and powers of the eternal lives, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

At a blessing meeting held at the LORDs house in Kirtland Ohio on the 15th day of April AD. 1837, Joseph Smith sen. the Patriarch of the Church of latter day Saints confered a blessing upon the head of Willford Woodruff son of Aphek Woodruff born in Farmington Hartford County Conn. March the 1st 1807.
My beloved Brother I lay my hands on thy head in the name of JESUS CHRIST the son of the living GOD and seal a blessing on thy head which shall reach thy posterity a seal that shall not be taken from thee. I bless thee as Melchisedeck blessed Abram when he returned from the Slaughter of the ten kings. I confer on the[e] all the blessings of Abram Isaac and Jacob which includes all blessings both temporal and spiritual, the blessings of heaven & the blessing of the earth. Thou shalt have all the power and authority of the Melchesedeck priesthood.
Thou hast a great work to do in the earth. Thou shalt visit many barberous tribes of the earth. They shall seek to take thy life; yet God will give the power and wisdom to frustrate their designs. Thous shalt be blesed with posterity. Thy sons shall received the priesthood and be an ornament to the Church of Christ. Yea they shall be great men in the earth. Thou shalt be honor'd by them and they shall call thee blesed.
I place a seal on thy head & no power shall be able to take it from thee if thou are faithful in keeping the Commandments of God. This /seal/ shall guard thee against the destroyer. Thou mayest have the administration of the angels of heaven. An Holy angel shall soon administer unto thee and reveal unto thee thy duty yea and give unto the[e] many instructions. Thou shalt have the Spirit of God to instruct thee in my mission and lead thee into all truth. Thou shalt be filled with the Spirit of God. Thine eyes shall be opened to look within the veil and behold the things of eternity. /Yea the Lord of glory shall appear unto thee. Thou shalt put thy hands upon his feet and feel his wounds with thy hands that thou mayest be a special witness of his name./ Thou shalt understand great mysteries in this generation. Yea all the mysteries of the Kingdom of God and the wisdom of God shall cleave unto thee.
I seal all of thy former blessings on thy head and they shall be fulfiled. Thou shalt be a great man in the earth. Thy intellectual powers shall be preserved and thy understanding shall be great.
God has looked on thee from all eternity and has known thy Blood. Thou art a descendent of JOSEPH. Thou shalt stand in the flesh & witness the winding up scene of this generation. Thou shalt remain on the earth to behold thy Savior Come in the Clouds of heaven. Thou shalt be numbered with the one hundred forty and four thousand and shall stand upon Mount Zion and shall sing a song that no man can learn or sing except thy company.
Thou shalt have access ot the treasures hid in the sand to assist thy necessities. An angel of God shall show thee the treasures of the earth that thou mayest have riches to assist thee in gathering many orphan Children to Zion.
Thou art one of the horns of Joseph to push the people together to the ends of the earth. No power shall stay thee. At thy word the winds shall be stayed. Thou shalt walk upon the waters. At thy command the waters shall be divided. Prisons, chains, and vaults shall not hold thee /for thou shalt rend them in twain/. Thou shalt be deliverd out of the hands of thy enemies by the mighty power of God and by the prayer of faith. Thou shalt have great blessing.
Thou art of the Blood of Ephraim if thou will claim it by faith thou mayest bring all of thy relatives into the Kingdom of God for they are of the blood of Ephraim. In the name of Jesus Christ I seal this blessing on thy head by the authority of the Holy Priesthood I seal thee up unto Eternal Life. Even so AMEN.
Joseph, my son, I lay my hands upon thy head in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, to confirm upon thee a father's blessing. The Lord thy God has called thee by name out of the heavens: thou hast heard his voice from on high from time to time, even in thy youth. The hand of the angel of his presence has been extended toward thee by which thou hast been lifted up and sustained; yea, the Lord has delivered thee from the hands of thine enemies and thou hast been made to rejoice in his salvation: thou hast sought to know his ways, and from thy childhood thou hast meditated much upon the great things of his law. Thou hast suffered much in thy youth, and the poverty and afflictions of thy father's family have been a grief to thy soul. Thou hast desired to see them delivered from bondage, for thou hast loved them with a perfect love. Thou hast stood by thy father, and like Shem, would have covered his nakedness, rather than see him exposed to shame: when the daughters of the Gentiles laughed, thy heart has been moved with a just anger to avenge thy kindred. Thou hast been an obedient son: the commands of thy father and the reproofs of thy mother, thou hast respected and obeyed - for all these things the Lord my God will bless thee. Thou hast been called, even in thy youth to the great work of the Lord: to do a work in this generation which no man would do as thyself, in all things according to the will of the Lord. A marvelous work and a wonder has the Lord wrought by thy hand, even that which shall prepare the way for the remnants of his people to come in among the Gentiles, with their fulness, as the tribes of Israel are restored.
I bless thee with the blessings of thy fathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and even the blessings of thy father Joseph, the son of Jacob. Behold, he looked after his posterity in the last days, when they should be scattered and driven by the Gentiles, and wept before the Lord: he sought diligently to know from whence the son should come who should bring forth the word of the Lord, by which they might be enlightened, and brought back to the true fold, and his eyes beheld thee, my son: his heart rejoiced and his soul was satisfied, and he said, As my blessings are to extend to the utmost bounds of the everlasting hills, as my father's blessing prevailed above the blessings of his progen[i]tor, and as my branches are to run over the wall, and my seed are to inherit the choice land whereon the Zion of God shall stand in the last days, from among my seed, scattered with the Gentiles, shall a choice Seer arise whose bowles shall be as a fountain of truth, whose loins shall be girded with the girdle of righteousness, whose hands shall be lifted with acceptance before the God of Jacob to turn away his anger from his annointed, whose heart shall meditate great wisdom, whose intelligence shall circumscribe and comprehend the deep things of God, and whose mouth shall utter the law of the just: His feet shall stand upon the neck of his enemies, and he shall walk upon the ashes of those who seek his destruction: with wine and oil shall he be sustained, and he shall feed upon the heritage of Jacob his father: the just shall desire his society, and the upright in heart shall be his companions: No weapon formed against him shall prosper, and though the wicked mar him for a little season, he shall be like one rising up in the heat of wine - he shall roar in his strength, and the Lord shall put to flight his persecutors: he shall be blessed like the fruitful olive, and his memory shall be as sweet as the choice cluster of the first ripe grapes. Like a shief fully ripe, gathered into the garner, so shall he stand before the Lord, having produced a hundred fold. Thus spake my father Joseph. Therefore, my son, I know for a surety that those things will be fulfilled, and I confirm upon thee all these blessings.
Thou shalt like to do the work which the Lord shall command thee: Thou shalt hold the Keys of this ministry, even the presidency of this church, both in time and in eternity. Thy heart shall be enlarged, and thou shalt be able to fill up the measure of thy days according to the will of the Lord. Thou shalt speak the word of the Lord and the earth shall tremble; the mountains shall move and the rivers shall turn out of their course. Thou shalt escape the edge of the sword, and put to flight the armies of the wicked. At thy word the lame shall walk, the deaf shall hear and the blind shall see. Thou shalt be gathered to Zion and in the goodly land thou shalt enjoy thine inheritance; thy children and thy children's children to the latest generation; for thy name and the names of thy posterity shall be recorded in the book of the Lord, even in the book of blessings and genealogies, for their joy and benefit forever. And now, my son, what more shall I say? Thou art as a fruitful olive and a choice vine: thou shalt be laden with precious fruit. Thousands and tens of thousands shall come to a knowledge of the truth through thy ministry, and thou shalt rejoice with them in the Celestial Kingdom:
Thou shalt stand upon the earth when it shall reel to and fro as a drunken man, and be removed out of its place: thou shalt stand when the mighty judgments go forth to the destruction of the wicked: thou shalt stand on Mount Zion when the tribes of Jacob come shouting from the north, and with thy brethren, the sons of Ephraim, crown them in the name of Jesus Christ: Thou shalt see thy Redeemer come in the clouds of heaven, and with the just receive the hallowed throng with shouts of hallalujahs, praise the Lord. Amen

Blessing pronounced by Patriarch Charles D. Evans upon the head of Emma Wirthlin daughter of John Wirthlin & Charlotte Hillstead. Born in Yorkshire England April 19th 1868
Sister Emma by virtue of my office as a patriarch, I lay my hands upon thy head. And pronounce and seal upon thee a blessing as the Lord directs. Thou art a royal descendant of Ephraim who whose blood shall flow in the veins of thy generation of ever.
Thy soul is honest and thy desires for righteousness, for vanity has not exalted thee. Thy hand of mercy has been stretched out to the fallen. And thou has sought to redeem thy sex. And to lift up the erring and turn them from the downward course like Elizabeth of old.
Thou art lowly of heart and thou hast received strong testimony of the truth. And the light of thy example has assisted many. Therefore the Lord loveth thee. And thou shalt have an inheritance on this choice land with thy husband and thy generation for ever.
The gift of wisdom will be in thee. The gift of counsel and sound judgment, thou shalt discern between truth and error and detect falsehood. And thou shalt not be deceived. Thou shalt be like a thrifty rose planted by a spring of living water. Thy mind expand and every step of thy pathway lead thee higher. For thou art one of the elect, for thy spirit was reserved in heaven for the latter days. Thy house shall be established forever. And in they family line thou shall never lack a man to stand before God and administer holy ordinances.
And by care of thy body thou shalt live to see the great Temple of Jackson County reared, when the kings of the gentiles bow and the pillar of fire rests upon it. And a cloud over every dwelling place on Mount Zion.
I seal upon thee the gift of prophecy and the visions of eternity will rest upon thee. All shall be well with thee and thou shalt prosper in the land. And thou shalt dwell as a queen and princess in Israel after the wicked are cut off. And I seal thee up unto thrones and dominions and to come forth in the morning of the first resurrection.

hey we need to cut these guys some slack. they all seen to have piss poor spelling when they sent out a copy of the transcript. what do you expect? they are more than not stoned or drunk when they sit down to write the letter. my wifes blessing came back in print to warn her of satin. guess it should be satan but just to be sure i am going to switch to flannel sheets. better safe than sorry. see ya all on the dark side of kolob. - 10/17/2000 - from utah with love
